Emma is a Partner in our Litigation team. Emma is an experienced litigator and qualified solicitor-advocate, with extended rights of audience in the Court of Session (the highest civil court based in Scotland). Emma is adept in representing clients in the Court of Session and the Sheriff Courts, and is experienced in alternative dispute resolution options, such as mediation and expert determination. Emma manages a broad and varied commercial litigation practice, which encompasses a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters. Her specialist areas include insolvency, corporate restructuring, commercial dispute resolution, debt recovery, regulatory law and property disputes. She takes a proactive and commercial approach to disputes and, where appropriate, actively seeks to resolve matters before they reach litigation.
Emma splits her time between Ennova’s Edinburgh Office and Dundee Office.
Christian specialises in tax and estate planning and advises generally on succession issues, inheritance tax mitigation, trust law, charity law, and asset protection. A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Christian has previously been a member of the Investor Protection Committee of the Law Society of Scotland, and a nominated Foreign and Commonwealth Office Secondee to OSCE.
Fraser is Partner of Property, Business and Licensing Law. Based in our Dundee office, he is experienced in all aspects of commercial property including acquisitions and disposals, investments and landlord and tenant work. Fraser also deals with property finance and acts for lenders in secured lending transactions.
Keith is a Partner in our commercial team. Keith qualified from the University of Edinburgh with LLB (Hons), where he also obtained his Diploma in Legal Practice, and completed an MSc in Real Estate Management and Development at Heriot-Watt University in 2014. Keith has experience of all aspects of real estate transactions, including investment acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing and development work, and has also advised on insolvency disposals and undertaken security work. Prior to joining Ennova Keith worked for the Organising Committees of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
David has over 25 years of experience of contracts, dispute resolution and family law work. He regularly represents clients’ interests in the Scottish Courts and can also provide advice on alternative forms of dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation. He advises clients on all manner of disputes, contracts, professional negligence, divorce and separation, in addition to a wide range of land and property matters. David also has considerable experience in Public Enquiries and Judicial Review.
John has practiced in Edinburgh and Tayside for over 20 years and has extensive experience in the corporate, commercial and real estate fields. In recent years John has taken on many renewable energy transactions acting for developers and land owners in the wind and hydro sectors. John also deals with many corporate transactions including company share sales and acquisitions, lease transactions and acting on behalf of property developers.
Karen is a Partner in Ennova and head of our residential property team. Karen deals with all aspects of residential sales, purchases and re-mortgages as well as new build developments (from purchase of the development site, site assembly and deed of conditions through to the sale of individual units). She also has many years of experience carrying out bank security work for both commercial and individual clients.
